Of the total number of occupied dwellings, 30% are owned and 70%, you guessed it, are rented.

Interestingly, 52% of the buildings were built before the 1960s. Of course, many of these have been remodeled and renovated. 24% were built between 1961 and 1980. The remaining 23% were built since 1981.

How is the market doing?

In 2021, 1453 residential properties for sale found buyers. 1,840 new homes were put on the market. 255 are currently on the market.

Specifically, 95 single-family homes were sold last year. Currently, there are 4 on the market. The median price for single family homes is $752,500.

In the area of condominiums (condos and apartments), 895 were sold in 2021. 131 are currently on the market and the average cost is $452,000.

For plexes (duplexes, triplexes, etc.), 463 have been sold in 2021. Currently, 78 are available. The median price is around $810,000.

The average time to close on a residential property is 40 days.

As you can see, the market is moving. Things are moving and that’s a good sign!
